seroma weeks after op breast cancer?

I have a painful swelling and should get doctor to drain the fluid. He one lumpectomy. Others had and for how long. This was a month after surgery.

One of my friends had a lumpectomy to treat on her breast cancer and inflammation can occur for several months after surgery (including mastectomy, my mother had done this in breast cancer). I recommend reconnect with your doctor to let them know you are very concerned about this and want to see what other suggestions they may have.
